Light: Prefers bright, indirect light or dappled shade. Avoid direct sun, as it can scorch the delicate leaves. Some varieties can tolerate more light but may require higher humidity.

Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering when the plant enters dormancy.

Humidity: Thrives in high humidity (above 60%). If the air is dry, mist the plant or use a humidifier to maintain optimal conditions.

Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures between 20–30°C. Avoid exposure to temperatures below 15°C, as Caladiums are sensitive to cold.

Soil: Use a well-draining, rich potting mix with peat, coco coir, and perlite to retain moisture while allowing excess water to drain.

Fertilising: Feed every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength. Stop fertilising when the plant goes dormant.

Dormancy: In cooler months, Caladium bicolor may go dormant, with leaves dying back. Reduce watering, stop fertilising, and store tubers in a dry, warm place until the next growing season.
