Spathiphyllum floribundum Picasso- Bare Bottom Baby
Spathiphyllum floribundum 'Picasso' is a stunning cultivar of the popular Peace Lily, celebrated for its unique variegated foliage. This elegant plant produces classic white spathes and central spadices, adding a graceful floral touch to its vibrant foliage. 'Picasso' is perfect for brightening indoor spaces, combining low-maintenance care with extraordinary beauty. Its air-purifying qualities make it an excellent addition to homes and offices.
Care Plan
Light:
Thrives in bright, indirect light, which enhances its striking variegation. Can tolerate lower light levels, but variegation may fade. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.
Temperature:
Prefers temperatures between 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.
Humidity:
Enjoys moderate to high humidity (50% or more). Consider misting or using a humidifier in drier environments.
Watering:
Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid waterlogging, as it can lead to root rot. This plant prefers slightly moist soil but can tolerate brief periods of dryness.
Soil:
Use a well-draining potting mix, such as one designed for indoor plants. Adding perlite or orchid bark can improve drainage and aeration.
Fertiliser:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilising frequency in autumn and winter.
