Aglaonema commutatum ‘Pink Dalmatian’ is a striking ornamental foliage plant prized for its bold, speckled variegation. The broad, lance-shaped leaves display a rich green base heavily splashed with soft to vibrant pink markings, creating a distinctive “dalmatian” pattern that intensifies under good light. Compact and clump-forming in habit, this cultivar maintains a tidy, architectural appearance, making it well suited to both residential interiors and commercial plant styling.

Renowned for its resilience and adaptability, ‘Pink Dalmatian’ is an excellent choice for indoor environments, offering strong visual impact with relatively low maintenance requirements.

Care Plan — Aglaonema commutatum ‘Pink Dalmatian’

Light
Bright, indirect light is ideal to maintain strong colour contrast. Tolerates lower light conditions, though pink variegation may soften. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.

Watering
Water when the top 2–4 cm of the potting mix has dried. Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering frequency during cooler months.

Temperature
Prefers warm conditions between 18–28 °C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15 °C.

Humidity
Average household humidity is sufficient, though moderate humidity will support optimal leaf quality. Avoid placing near heating or air-conditioning vents.

Soil
Use a free-draining, well-aerated indoor plant mix. A blend containing premium potting mix with added perlite or bark is suitable.

Fertilising
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength. No fertiliser is required during winter.

Maintenance
Remove yellowing or damaged leaves at the base to maintain appearance and encourage healthy new growth. Wipe leaves occasionally to remove dust and improve photosynthesis.
