Care Plan

Light:
Provide bright, indirect light to maintain the overall health. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the delicate variegated portions of the leaves.

Temperature:
Keep in a warm environment between 18–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Humidity:
High humidity (60% or more) is ideal. Place near a humidifier or on a pebble tray with water to replicate its tropical origins.

Watering:
Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in water, as Alocasias are prone to root rot.

Soil:
Use a well-draining, airy mix, such as a combination of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark. This prevents waterlogging and ensures healthy root growth.

Fertiliser:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in autumn and winter.

Repotting:
Repot every 1–2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a pot with good drainage to prevent water retention.
