Alocasia no ID
Light
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Can tolerate slightly lower light than smaller Alocasias, but best growth and leaf size come from strong filtered light.
Watering
Keep soil consistently moist but well-drained. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between watering. Avoid prolonged wet conditions, as root rot can occur.
Humidity
Prefers high humidity (60%+). Will tolerate moderate humidity but may show browning edges or slower growth.
Temperature
Thrives in 18–30°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.
Soil
Use a chunky, free-draining aroid mix (bark, perlite, coco peat). Larger root systems benefit from excellent aeration.
Fertiliser
Feed regularly during active growth with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2–4 weeks at reduced strength.
Growth Habit
Upright, clumping, and robust. Develops into a larger specimen compared to compact varieties like ‘Polly’.
