Care Plan for Anthurium Luxurians
Light:
- Thrives in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, so keep it in a spot where it gets plenty of filtered light.
Soil:
- Requires well-draining, loose, and aerated soil. A mix of orchid bark, perlite, and peat moss works well, ensuring the roots don't sit in water for too long.
Watering:
- Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy. Water when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Be mindful of overwatering, as this plant is sensitive to root rot.
Humidity:
- Prefers high humidity (around 60-80%). You can boost humidity by misting the plant regularly, using a humidifier, or placing it near other plants.
Temperature:
- Prefers temperatures between 18°C and 25°C. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, as this can stress the plant.
Fertilising:
- During the growing season (spring and summer), feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks. Cut back on feeding during autumn and winter.
