Care Guide
- Location: Choose a spot with partial to full shade. Caladiums thrive in indirect sunlight, though some varieties can tolerate more sun.
- Soil: Use well-draining, rich soil with plenty of organic matter. A pH of 6.0 to 6.5 is ideal.
- Depth: Plant the bulbs 2 inches deep, with the knobby side (the top) facing up. Space them about 8-12 inches apart to allow room for growth.
Watering:
- Frequency: Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Caladiums prefer a humid environment, so avoid letting the soil dry out completely.
- Avoid Overwatering: Ensure good drainage to prevent water from pooling around the bulbs, which can cause rot.
Fertilising:
- Type: Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer or a liquid fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season.
