A beautiful tropical foliage plant with broad, decorative leaves displaying rich green tones accented by striking silver-grey markings. Calathea 'Glaza' is grown for its lush, elegant foliage and brings a vibrant, tropical feel to indoor spaces. Like other Calatheas, its leaves gently fold upward in the evening and reopen during the day.

Light
Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and fade the foliage patterns.

Water
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top layer of soil begins to dry, using filtered or rainwater where possible, as Calatheas can be sensitive to minerals in tap water.

Humidity
Prefers high humidity. Regular misting, a humidifier, or a pebble tray will help maintain healthy foliage and prevent brown leaf edges.

Temperature
Thrives in temperatures between 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts, air conditioning, and sudden temperature fluctuations.

Soil
Use a rich, well-draining potting mix that retains moisture while allowing excess water to drain freely.

Fertiliser
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted liquid fertiliser formulated for indoor foliage plants.

Additional Information
Calathea 'Glaza' is prized for its attractive patterned foliage and compact growth habit. It performs best with consistent watering, warm temperatures, and high humidity. Avoid allowing the soil to dry out completely, as this can lead to curling or browning leaves. As with all Calatheas, occasional movement of the leaves throughout the day and night is a natural characteristic of the plant.
