Dracaena fragrans ‘Marley’

Dracaena fragrans ‘Marley’ is a compact and bushy cultivar of Dracaena fragrans, valued for its lush green, arching foliage and easy-care nature. Its broad, glossy leaves grow in a rosette pattern, giving it a full and vibrant appearance. This variety is well-suited for indoor spaces, thriving in a range of lighting conditions while helping to improve air quality. With its elegant form and low maintenance requirements, ‘Marley’ makes an excellent addition to homes and offices.

Care Plan for Dracaena fragrans ‘Marley’

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light levels. Avoid direct sunlight, which may scorch the leaves.

Watering: Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil is dry. Avoid overwatering, as Dracaena species are sensitive to excess moisture. Use filtered or dechlorinated water to prevent leaf browning.

Humidity: Adapts well to average indoor humidity but benefits from occasional misting in drier environments.

Temperature: Grows best in temperatures between 18–27°C. Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C.

Soil: A well-draining potting mix with peat or coco coir works well. Ensure the pot has drainage holes.

Fertilising: Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 6–8 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in cooler months.
