Monstera borsigiana Albo –  will be sent bare rooted

Description:
these range from lightly variegated to damages bruised leaves , needing to be potted up etc. Monstera borsigiana 'Albo Variegata', where the plant has returned to solid green foliage, lacking its characteristic white or cream variegation. Despite the absence of variegation, this Monstera still offers the same elegant leaf shape with splits and fenestrations as it matures, giving it a bold and tropical presence. Its vining nature makes it ideal for totem climbing or trailing in larger spaces.

Care Plan:

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. While it can tolerate lower light, growth will slow and leaves may not develop splits.

  • Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid letting it sit in water to prevent root rot.

  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Mist occasionally or place near a humidifier for best results.

  • Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 12°C.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining aroid mix containing chunky elements like orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir.

  • Feeding: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertiliser.

  • Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage upright growth and larger leaves.
