The Monstera deliciosa 'Mint' is a rare and highly sought-after variegated variety of the classic Monstera deliciosa. It is characterised by its large, glossy, fenestrated leaves with a unique and stunning mint-green variegation. The mint variegation appears as lighter patches or streaks that contrast beautifully against the deep green foliage, giving it a fresh, vibrant appearance. As it matures, the plant develops iconic splits and holes, enhancing its exotic look. This Monstera's eye-catching colour pattern and impressive growth make it a favourite among plant collectors.

Please note: These plants have been grown in seedling plug trays and therefore the root systems will not be as fully established as a larger pot size and will require extra attention. Plants are on average 5cm in length and photos on the website are indicative only. Please take this into consideration with each purchase of the Bare Bottom Babies.  The dispatch team always pick the best plants that are available.

Care Plan for Monstera deliciosa 'Mint':

  1. Light:

    • Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its variegation. Exposure to too much direct sunlight can cause the leaves to burn, while too little light can lead to a loss of variegation.
    • If kept in low light conditions, growth may slow, and new leaves may emerge with fewer splits.
  2. Watering:

    • Water when the top 2-3 cm (about 1 inch) of the soil feels dry. Thoroughly water until it drains from the bottom, but do not let the plant sit in water to avoid root rot.
    • Reduce watering during winter when the plant's growth slows down.
  3. Humidity:

    • Thrives in high humidity environments, ideally around 60% or higher. If your space is dry, mist the plant regularly or use a humidifier.
    • Higher humidity will encourage larger, healthier leaves with more pronounced fenestrations.
  4. Soil:

    • Use a well-draining potting mix that retains moisture but allows excess water to escape. A blend of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark works well.
    • Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water from sitting at the bottom.
  5. Fertiliser:

    • Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Cut back fertilisation during autumn and winter.
