Monstera deliciosa ‘White Monster’

A spectacular collector’s Monstera prized for its dramatic white and green variegation. ‘White Monster’ produces the iconic large, heart-shaped foliage of Monstera deliciosa, with each leaf displaying its own unique pattern of creamy white, pale mint and rich green. As the plant matures, the leaves can develop impressive splits and fenestrations, creating a striking statement plant for any tropical indoor collection.

Light
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Good light helps support strong growth and maintain the beautiful variegation. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, particularly during the hottest part of the day, as the white areas are more susceptible to scorching.

Water
Water thoroughly when the top few centimetres of the soil have dried. Allow excess water to drain freely and avoid keeping the potting mix constantly wet, as this can increase the risk of root rot.

Humidity
Prefers moderate to high humidity. Humidity of around 60% or higher can encourage healthy foliage and help prevent the delicate white sections from developing dry, brown edges.

Temperature
Thrives in warm conditions between approximately 18–28°C. Protect from cold temperatures, drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Soil
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix that provides plenty of airflow around the roots. A combination of quality potting mix, orchid bark, perlite and similar coarse materials is ideal.

Fertiliser
Feed every 4–6 weeks during the warmer growing months with a balanced liquid fertiliser at a diluted rate. Reduce feeding during cooler periods when growth naturally slows.

Variegation can vary as the plant grows, and no particular amount or pattern of white can be guaranteed on future leaves.
