A striking tropical climbing plant known for its long, narrow green leaves and distinctive orange to reddish-orange petioles (leaf stems). Its bold foliage and architectural form make it a highly sought-after collector's plant.
Light
Bright indirect light. Avoid prolonged direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water
Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and ensure excess water drains away.
Humidity
Prefers moderate to high humidity but adapts well to typical indoor conditions.
Temperature
Thrives in warm temperatures between 18–30°C. Protect from cold conditions below 12°C.
Soil
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing materials such as bark, perlite, and coco coir.
Fertiliser
Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser during spring and summer for healthy growth.
Additional Information
A climbing species that benefits from a moss pole or support to encourage larger, more mature foliage. Growth is relatively fast in warm, humid conditions with bright light. Toxic if ingested, so keep away from pets and children. Ideal as an indoor feature plant or in sheltered tropical gardens.
