Care Plan for Philodendron erubescens 'Pink Princess Galaxy Marble'

Light:
Provide bright, indirect light to maintain the vibrant variegation of the Pink Princess Galaxy Marble. While it can tolerate lower light levels, insufficient light may cause the pink and white variegation to diminish. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the delicate leaves.

Watering:
Water the plant when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry. The plant prefers consistently moist soil but is sensitive to overwatering. Make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water from sitting in the soil, which can lead to root rot.

Humidity:
This Philodendron thrives in high humidity, ideally around 60-80%. If your home has low humidity, especially during winter, consider using a humidifier or placing the plant on a humidity tray. Regular misting can also help maintain the necessary moisture in the air.

Temperature:
Maintain a temperature range between18-27°C for optimal growth. The plant is sensitive to cold temperatures and should be kept away from drafts or temperatures below 13°C

Soil:
Use a well-draining, aroid-specific soil mix. A combination of peat, perlite, and orchid bark works well to retain moisture while allowing excess water to drain, preventing root rot.

Fertilisation:
Feed the plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Be cautious with fertiliser, as over-fertilising can harm the plant. Reduce feeding during the autumn and winter months when the plant's growth slows.
