Philodendron giganteum Blizzard - Perfectly Imperfect
Philodendron giganteum ‘Blizzard’
A striking variegated Philodendron with large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves patterned with creamy-white splashes, speckles and marbling. Each leaf displays its own unique markings. Light:
Bright, indirect light. Protect from harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the pale areas of the leaves.
Water:
Water when the top 2–3 cm of mix feels dry. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Reduce watering as growth slows in cooler weather.
Humidity:
Prefers higher humidity, ideally around 60–80%, with gentle airflow.
Temperature:
Ideal temperatures are 18–27°C. Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
Soil:
Use an airy, well-draining aroid mix that retains some moisture without becoming soggy.
Fertiliser:
Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2–4 weeks during active growth, following the product’s dilution instructions. Reduce feeding when growth slows.
