Description:
Philodendron Burle Marx Variegata is a striking tropical aroid admired for its lush, elongated leaves marbled with creamy yellows, soft greens, and white variegation. Each leaf displays a unique pattern, making every plant slightly different and highly collectable. With its compact, clumping growth habit and vining tendencies as it matures, this variety adds a vibrant splash of colour to indoor plant collections or shaded tropical gardens. Named after the famed Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, it embodies the bold and sculptural aesthetic he championed.

Care Plan:

Light:
Provide bright, indirect light to maintain strong variegation. Too little light can cause the leaves to revert to green, while direct sunlight may scorch the foliage.

Water:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce frequency during cooler months.

Humidity:
Thrives in high humidity (above 60%). If indoors, consider misting or using a humidifier to prevent leaf edges from browning.

Temperature:
Prefers warm conditions between 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts or temperatures below 15°C.

Soil:
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix — something containing orchid bark, perlite, and coco peat works well.

Fertiliser:
Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength. Reduce feeding in winter.
