Care Plan
Light
- Provide bright, indirect light for healthy, steady growth.
- It can tolerate medium light, though growth may slow.
- Protect the leaves from strong midday sun, which can scorch them.
Water
- Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of potting mix feels dry.
- Let excess water drain away; don’t leave the pot sitting in water.
- Water less often during cooler months when growth slows.
Humidity
- Average indoor humidity is generally suitable.
- Moderate to higher humidity can support healthy leaves, especially in a warm, dry room.
Temperature
- Keep in a warm spot, ideally around 18–29°C.
- Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below approximately 15°C.
Soil
- Use a loose, free-draining mix that retains some moisture while allowing air around the roots.
- A quality indoor potting mix amended with perlite and fine orchid bark is suitable.
Fertiliser
- During active growth, feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength every 4–6 weeks.
- Reduce feeding in winter or when the plant is not actively growing.
