Description

Philodendron ‘Orange Princess’ is a stunning rare foliage plant admired for its vibrant new growth and striking tropical appearance. Emerging leaves display brilliant shades of copper, orange, and bronze before gradually deepening into rich green tones as they mature, creating a beautiful multi-tonal display across the plant.

Its glossy elongated foliage and upright climbing growth habit make this Philodendron an eye-catching statement piece for indoor plant collections. Highly sought after by collectors, ‘Orange Princess’ combines bold colour with the easy-care nature Philodendrons are known for.

Perfect for bright indoor spaces, this tropical beauty adds warmth, texture, and dramatic colour contrast to any home or plant styling display.

Care Plan

Light

Prefers bright indirect light to maintain vibrant foliage colour and encourage healthy growth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which may scorch the leaves. Lower light conditions may reduce colour intensity and slow growth.

Watering

Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Water thoroughly and ensure excess water drains freely. Avoid overwatering or allowing the plant to sit in soggy soil.

Humidity

Thrives in moderate to high humidity. Increased humidity encourages larger foliage and healthier growth, particularly during warmer months.

Temperature

Prefers warm temperatures between 18°C and 28°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 12°C.

Soil

Requires a rich, chunky, well-draining aroid mix. A blend containing orchid bark, perlite, coco coir, and premium potting mix provides ideal drainage and airflow around the roots.

Fertilising

Feed regularly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding during cooler months when growth slows.

Growth Habit

An upright climbing Philodendron that benefits from support such as a moss pole or trellis to encourage larger mature foliage.
