Care Plan
Light
Prefers bright indirect light to maintain strong growth and vibrant variegation. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as the lighter variegated sections can scorch easily. Lower light conditions may reduce variegation and slow growth.
Watering
Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring excess water drains away freely. Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet, as this may lead to root rot.
Humidity
Thrives in moderate to high humidity. Increased humidity encourages healthier foliage and improved growth, particularly during warmer months.
Temperature
Prefers warm temperatures between 18°C and 28°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 12°C.
Soil
Requires a well-draining, chunky aroid mix rich in organic matter. A blend containing orchid bark, perlite, coco coir, and premium potting mix works well to maintain airflow around the roots.
Fertilising
Feed regularly during the active growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding during cooler months when growth slows.
Growth Habit
A vigorous climbing plant that benefits from support such as a moss pole or trellis. Regular pruning can encourage fuller growth and maintain shape.
