This cultivar stands out with its arrowhead-shaped leaves, which often feature a mix of vibrant green tones combined with creamy white or pale green variegation. Some leaves may exhibit subtle hints of pink, adding a touch of unexpected colour. The T24's foliage is slightly more elongated compared to other Syngonium varieties, giving it a distinctive, elegant appearance. As the plant matures, it can be trained to climb or allowed to trail, providing versatility in how it’s displayed.
Please note: These plants have been grown in seedling plug trays and therefore the root systems will not be as fully established as a larger pot size and will require extra attention. Plants are on average 5cm in length and photos on the website are indicative only. Please take this into consideration with each purchase of the Bare Bottom Babies. Care Plan for Syngonium podophyllum T24:
Light:
- Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate medium light conditions. Direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf scorch, which can affect the variegation.
Watering:
- Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. It’s important to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Ensure that the pot has proper drainage to prevent root rot.
Humidity:
- Prefers moderate to high humidity. Aim for a humidity level of around 60-70%. If the air is too dry, consider using a humidifier or regularly misting the plant to maintain its vibrant foliage.
Temperature:
- Ideal temperatures range between 16-27°C changes, which can stress it.
Soil:
- A well-draining potting mix is essential. An aroid mix with added perlite or orchid bark works well to provide the necessary aeration and drainage.
Fertilisation:
- Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). In autumn and winter, reduce fertilisation as the plant’s growth naturally slows down.
